ARSENAL defender Oleksandr Zinchenko faces an uncertain future this month as there is no break clause in his loan deal with Nottingham Forest.

Zinchenko, 29, joined Forest on loan on transfer deadline day last summer with just hours left in the window.

The Ukraine star, however, has struggled for action and he has started just nine games this season.

It has led to reports that Forest may look to end Zinchenko’s stay at the club early.

SunSport understands there is no break clause in the loan agreement, though, which makes the matter complicated for Forest and Zinchenko.

Arsenal also have a full squad that would not be able to accommodate the left-back returning.

Zinchenko is out of contract in the summer and is set to leave the Gunners when his deal expires.

Before joining Forest on loan, he had attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal are expecting to have a quiet January transfer window after splashing out £250million on eight new signings last summer.

Ethan Nwaneri has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs that are keen to take him on loan.

At present, however, Nwaneri is not expected to go out on loan for the rest of the season.

Arsenal are currently fighting for trophies in four competitions and there should be plenty of minutes to go round.
