UFC 332 has a headlining bout, and it’s a title fight that few could have predicted.

Natalia Silva (20-5-1) is set to fight Wang Cong (10-1) for an undisputed flyweight championship in the main event of the Oct. 3 event, which takes place at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, the UFC announced during the UFC Paris telecast on Saturday.

Former champion Valentina Shevchenko could be out for a year, according to the telecast, but a reason was not given for her abensce.

UFC 332 will be televised on CBS and Paramount+.

A bantamweight bout between former 125-pound champion Deiveson Figueiredo and blue-chip prospect Payton Talbott to serve as the co-main event.

Silva is a perfect 8-0 in the UFC and has won 14 straight fights dating back to 2018. The 29-year-old Brazilian’s past three wins have all been against former UFC champions as she has earned decision wins over Rose Namajunas, Alexa Grasso, and Jessica Andrade.

China’s Wang made a spectacular UFC debut in 2024 with a 62-second knockout of Victoria Leonardo, but stumbled in her sophomore outing when she was submitted by Gabriella Fernandes. However, Wang has bounced back with four consecutive victories, most recently earning a unanimous decision nod over Tracy Cortez at UFC 329 this past July.
