Monaco gets the job done against Cholet (89-79). Spanoulis did not sit on his team’s bench, but they managed to pull off the victory.
On the same day that Mirotic’s indefinite absence due to a plantar fascia injury was announced, Monaco remained the leader of the LNB after a great second half.
Elie Okobo (21 p.) was the top scorer for the local team. Alpha Diallo added 16 and Mike James 11, with six players on double-digits.
It wasn’t an easy first half for Monaco. Without Spanoulis on the bench, the Euroleague team couldn’t increase the pace before the break (49-46). Cholet fought back in the second quarter.
The local squad improved from beyond the arc after halftime to secure the win at home (89-79). They stay on top of the French competition.
