Michael Morales has a lot of weight to cut for UFC 330.
On Saturday, Islam Makhachev defends his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry in the main event of UFC 330. Morales is set to serve as the backup fighter for the matchup, meaning he will need to make championship weight of 170 pounds come the weigh-ins on Friday. And Morales seemingly has a long way to go to get there.
Over the weekend, Morales posted to his Instagram stories, first seemingly showing his weight at the start of his training camp, and then showing his weight heading into fight week. In the first post, Morales comes in at 223.1 pounds, with the most recent post seemingly showing him still coming in at a robust 193.5 pounds.

Less than a week out and still having to cut another 23.5 pounds just on the off chance Garry can’t make the fight is a tough ask, but Morales seems prepared to pull it off, as he later posted to his Instagram a picture weighing 190.7 pounds.
Just 20.7 pounds to go for Morales.
