MANCHESTER UNITED have struck a deal to create a The-Crown style TV dramatisation of the club’s history, according to reports.
The Red Devils are set to work with major production company Lionsgate on the multi-million pound project.
Lionsgate is a behemoth of the industry and has produced huge films including The Hunger Games, Twilight, Dirty Dancing and La La Land.
According to The Athletic, Man Utd and Lionsgate will work together on the project – and could recruit a boyhood fan as a writer.
Jed Mercurio has reportedly been in talks regarding the project, having been involved with previous British TV hits Line of Duty and Bodies.
It is not yet known how many episodes or seasons the United dramatisation will last.

The project has not yet been sold to a broadcaster or streaming platform.
Last year it emerged that United had been in secret talks with Amazon over a Prime Video series.
The show would have followed a similar format to the “All or Nothing” Arsenal and Tottenham series.
A £10million deal was reportedly reached between United and Amazon.
But following then-boss Ruben Amorim’s complaints, Sir Jim Ratcliffe did not green light the project.
Red Devils chiefs also held talks with Disney in 2024.
