Liverpool vs Burnley preview
It’s now 11 games without defeat for Liverpool who have turned a little bit of a corner after their rough spell.
But of the 11, five of those games ended in draws including the last three in the Premier League before the comfortable midweek win over Barnsley.
A goalless draw at home to Leeds and 2-2 draw at Fulham were disappointing in their own ways but they were then more than worth their point in the goalless draw at Arsenal last time out.
Liverpool dominated the second half but without any sort of firepower in the final third, couldn’t orchestrate a chance to leave with three points.
They’re a couple of points clear of Brentford and it’s only five points away to Sunderland in 10th, with Aston Villa eight points ahead in third spot meaning a top four place is the likely fight for the Reds.
And the injury to Conor Bradley didn’t help matters.
For Burnley, they’ve lost every away game this season bar victory at Wolves and a draw at Bournemouth last month.
Things have been tough on their return to the top flight but a draw with Man Utd in their last league outing was followed by a good 5-1 victory over Championship side Millwall in the FA Cup last weekend.
Tall order here.
