LIVERPOOL have recalled Lewis Koumas from his loan spell at Birmingham City.
The 20-year-old, who is the son of Jason Koumas, made 25 appearances for the Championship side after joining in August, scoring once.
However, he will return to Merseyside this week, with another loan move likely.
A number of Championship clubs are understood to be considering a move for the forward.
His departure from Birmingham is likely due to the club’s pursuit of new signings.
The Athletic reports that the Blues are closing in on a deal to sign Alaves winger Carlos Vicente for around £7million.

They have already signed Kai Wagner, Jhon Solis, Ibrahim Osman and August Priske so far this month.
The departure of Koumas will free up space in the squad for manager Chris Davies.
Koumas joined Liverpool at the age of 11 in 2016 and made his first team debut eight years later.
He scored on his debut as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 win over Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round.
The forward signed a long-term contract with Liverpool in 2024 before joining Stoke on loan for the 2024-25 season.
He scored six goals and provided three assists in 49 appearances for the Potters.
His next move will likely see him return to the Championship for the remainder of the campaign.
Koumas’ dad, Jason, started his career at Liverpool’s academy at the age of nine and played alongside stars including Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen.
But he did not turn professional with the club and instead decided to join Tranmere Rovers.
The midfielder also played for West Brom, Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic in his playing career.
He made 96 Premier League appearances in total, 106 in the Championship, 31 in League One and 20 in League Two.
