The upcoming 2026–27 BKT EuroCup campaign began taking clearer shape on Monday as multiple clubs finalized roster pieces for the next season. Highlighting the day’s announcements, French side Le Mans inaugurated their recruitment cycle by securing combo guard Jordan King, while Turkish contenders Bahcesehir Koleji solidified their veteran presence by extending swingman Can Maxim Mutaf.

The American talent arrived at MSB following a breakout European campaign, having most recently starred for Maroussi in Greece’s Stoiximan GBL. The 25-year-old Albany native and former Richmond standout averaged 13.7 points and 3.8 assists per game, proving his collegiate scoring acumen translates seamlessly to the continental style. Known for his elite perimeter shooting and dynamic transition play, he is projected to inject significant leadership and offensive firepower off the bench. His high-intensity profile fits perfectly into the up-tempo system implemented by head coach Guillaume Vizade, bringing the total number of contracted professionals on the French roster to seven.

The Istanbul outfit chose continuity by retaining 35-year-old Mutaf for his fourth consecutive year with the organization. The veteran offers unparalleled experience, entering a milestone season that marks two decades since his historic EuroLeague debut as a 15-year-old prodigy with Fenerbahce Ulker. Though his on-court utilization has narrowed to sporadic appearances in recent domestic and continental campaigns, the seasoned sniper provides invaluable institutional knowledge and deep locker room stability. Mutaf’s decision to remain in Istanbul extends a distinguished, multi-club journey spent entirely within his native Turkiye, ensuring Bahcesehir retains a reliable, battle-tested presence for another ambitious postseason run.
