Hapoel Tel Aviv achieved their first Playoff victory in the history of the Euroleague by defeating Real Madrid 76-69 in Botevgrad.

In this way, Dimitris Itoudis’ team reduced the series deficit to 2-1, and on Thursday, they will attempt to equalize and bring the series back to Madrid.

One of the victory heroes was Kessler Edwards, who finished the game with five points and ten rebounds, along with excellent defense.

His humility was also evident after the game as he faced the EuroLeague TV cameras, with Edwards saying:

“The coaches were telling us this is it: we had to bring all the hustle and energy we can. I tried to do that. This is my first EuroLeague playoff, and I can tell just by the environment how serious it is, and how passionate the whole organization is. I try to bring that on the court.”

Edwards certainly brought everything that he was asked onto the floor, and Itoudis believes there’s even more to come as he added:

“He’s very professional, well-educated and a great kid. He’s waiting his moment. He’s so dedicated and focused, and we’re blessed to have him. He’s elevating his game and evolving.”
