Free agent center Jusuf Nurkic intends to sign a two-year, $22 million contract to return to the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Charania reports that Nurkic thrived under head coach Will Hardy and was excited by the direction of the Jazz‘s revamped roster.

The Bosnian center joined Utah via trade from the Phoenix Suns in June 2025 and appeared in 41 games for the franchise, averaging 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He also became the first player in Jazz history to record three consecutive triple-doubles before his season was cut short by season-ending nose surgery in February.

By bringing back Nurkic, the Jazz retain an experienced presence in the frontcourt as they continue building around their young core.
