JOHN TERRY opened a celebratory bottle of wine after an iconic Chelsea record was confirmed to be safe for another year.
The legendary defender, 45, was part of the 2004/05 squad that conceded just 15 goals in a full Premier League season.
It is the fewest that have ever been conceded by a team in a full campaign, and that record was confirmed to be safe again this season after Arsenal‘s shocking 3-2 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
Terry uploaded a video to his Instagram account where he grabbed a bottle of red to celebrate, while calling on his former defensive team-mates to do the same.
He said: “The record is safe for another season, so Petr Cech, Paulo Ferreira, Ricky Carvalho, William Gallas, it’s time to celebrate with a bottle, or a glass of red wine.
“I’m going for the bottle, full celebration tonight.

“Can this record of 15 goals conceded in one season ever be beaten? I am saying no.
“I have to say I was a little bit worried the way Arsenal started the season, but it’s only January and the record has already gone and it’s safe for another year.”
Terry recorded the video to celebrate after United’s first two goals took Arsenal’s defensive record to 16 conceded, before Matheus Cunha‘s stunner added a 17th for good measure to secure the victory in the 87th minute.
It marks a second upset for Michael Carrick in his first two Premier League games since taking over from Ruben Amorim earlier this month, having beaten local rivals Manchester City the week before.
The result clearly put some doubt into Terry’s mind about whether the side have what it takes to break their habit of finishing second in the Prem.
He said: “Looks like Arsenal are under a little bit of pressure for the first time this season, can they get it over the line this season?
“Judging on this, I am not sure at the minute.”
The Gunners are just four points clear of both City and Aston Villa at the summit of the table, with 15 matches still to play.
