Guerri Napoli has officially entered a new chapter, announcing the appointment of Jasmin Repesa as head coach on Monday, following the departure of Alessandro Magro.
The change meets the Italian club teetering just above the relegation zone and two games away from the postseason picture in the LBA UnipolSai, packing an 8-15 record. With only five games remaining in the 2025-26 Regular Season, the management relieved 43-year-old Magro of his duties and expressed gratitude for his professionalism before turning to one of Europe’s most seasoned tacticians to secure their top-flight status.
Repesa arrives in Naples with an illustrious championship pedigree and a contract running through June 2027. His appointment follows a recent stint with Trapani Shark, where he steered the newly promoted side to a historic second-place regular-season finish before resigning in December. The 64-year-old Croatian veteran is renowned for his domestic dominance, having secured league and cup titles across Italy, Croatia, Turkiye, and Montenegro.

His deep familiarity with the Italian landscape remains a primary asset, highlighted by past Scudetto triumphs with both Fortitudo Bologna and Olimpia Milano, complemented by multiple Coppa Italia and Supercoppa trophies. His vast international experience includes leading Croatia to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
The immediate challenge for Repesa is a grueling five-game sprint. The gauntlet begins this Sunday with a road game against NutriBullet Treviso, followed by a formidable home clash against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on April 19. The closing stretch features high-pressure matchups against Dolomiti Energia Trento, UnaHotels Reggio Emilia, and a season finale opposite APU Old Wild West Udine on May 10.
