CARLOS ALCARAZ and Jannik Sinner’s ATP Finals showdown was halted due to a medical emergency in the crowd.
Sinner, 24, was serving at deuce in game four of the first set when there was a disturbance in the stands in Turin.
With 14 minutes on the match clock, there were whistles and shouts for the tennis action to stop.
The concerned umpire made an announcement for medical staff to come into the arena immediately and then stepped down off his chair for a clearer view of what was happening.
There was a commotion in the very corner of the top tier and paramedics were quickly able to reach the individual in need.
Both players stopped and waited around on court for the incident to be resolved.

There was an eerie silence in the 13,000-capacity crowd, who were present to watch the final men’s professional tennis match of 2025.
Close to eight minutes after the incident began, the two tennis superstars were told by the tournament director that the fan who was receiving medical attention was okay.
Supporters started to clap when the person in question was seen on their feet and helped from their seat and into the concourse by medical staff.
Standing at the net, Alcaraz and Sinner speculated that the heat in the stadium was perhaps an attributing factor.
In total, there was a 11-minute delay between points before Sinner could serve again.
Former British No.1 tennis ace Laura Robson – who is working for Sky Sports – said: “It feels like it has happened all too often this week in the stadium.
“Alcaraz was pretty much one of the first people to hear the signs of distress from the top tier and was quick to stop playing. Sinner was ready to serve.
“I can see paramedics up there. So the good news is that they got up there very quickly.
“And hopefully the person is going to be okay.”
Tim Henman, the four-time Wimbledon semi-finalist, said: “It is a very, very big stadium. We have 13,000 in here.
“It is very steep and steeper as you move further up. Not easy for the medics to get access and get the patient out. Fingers crossed all will be okay.”
On Monday, two spectators died from cardiac arrests at the ATP Finals, the Italian Tennis Federation (FITP) and the ATP confirmed.
