Tough break for Ivica Zubac, whose season has come to an early end.
According to Dustin Dopirak, the Croatian center suffered a fractured rib in Wednesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers and will miss the remainder of the season due to the recovery timeline.
Zubac arrived in Indiana at the trade deadline in a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, but injuries prevented him from making a sustained impact. He appeared in just five games for the Pacers.
In that limited stretch, he averaged 11.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in roughly 24 minutes per game, offering a glimpse of what he could bring in the paint before being sidelined again.
Indiana’s season has been trending downward regardless, as the team currently sits at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 15–55 record.
