Israel Adesanya has a sense of humor, that’s for sure.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that former two-division champion Alex Pereira would be one of the featured covers of the upcoming UFC 6 video game. Adesanya, who has had a long storied history with Pereira in kickboxing and MMA — including splitting a pair of middleweight championship bouts — reacted to the honor for Pereira by putting out a video for his social media channels.

Pereira captured the middleweight title with a comeback, fifth-round TKO win over Adesanya at UFC 281 in November 2022. Six months later, they ran it back in Miami in the main event of UFC 287, this time, Adesanya exacted revenge with the 2023 Knockout of the Year in the first round to regain the title.
Pereira went on to become a two-time light heavyweight champion, and most recently captured the belt for the second time with an 80 second destruction of Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320 this past October.
Now, “Poatan” looks to make history and become the UFC’s first ever three-division title holder as he faces Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title at UFC White House in June.
