WORLD No.1 Aryna Sabalenka chocked up and cried during her post-match speech after losing the final of the WTA Finals on Saturday.

Sabalenka was beaten in straight sets by sixth seed Elena Rybakina in the season ending final in Riyadh and could not control her emotions afterwards.

Taking to the mic in Saudi Arabia, Sabalenka tried to compose herself but was left to struggle and tear up instead.

She started by saying “So many things we didn’t…” before breaking down and then laughing at the situation.

Watched on by coaches and fans, Sabelenka was cheered during the emotional moment.

She put her hand to her head and took it in before adding: “I guess I’m getting old.

“I’m getting really sensitive.”

She then said: “So many things to be proud of.”

At this point the Belarusian star did a little jig, bending her knees and flicking her right hand out.

That drew a “whoop” from the supporters before Sabalenka then took her time, let out another brief laugh, and finished: “Yeah, thank you guys.”

Sabalenka ends 2025 with three major titles including her one Grand Slam at the US Open.
