BRUNO FERNANDES delivered a brutal response when asked about the Manchester United superfan who has refused to cut his hair for more than 500 days.
The United captain was quizzed about the viral supporter after the Red Devils’ recent winning run and his reply had fans in stitches.
Asked whether the fan would finally be heading for a trim, Fernandes deadpanned: “I need to book for myself I don’t look at other people.
“I dont look if they need to go to the hair dresser or not that is not important for me.”
The savage response quickly did the rounds on social media, adding another twist to one of United’s strangest fan challenges.
The supporter in question is Frank Ilett, who pledged not to cut his hair until United won five games in a row.

That promise has now lasted more than 500 days, with his hair growing longer through managerial chaos at Old Trafford.
United moved one step closer to ending Frank’s ordeal after a 2–0 win over Tottenham, making it four victories on the bounce.
With the scissors finally in sight, the long-suffering fan broke his silence after the Tottenham win.
He said: “Carrick is at the wheel, this hair is going soon, West Ham next, four out of five done.”
“This is the first time it’s been four in a row since I started the challenge.”
Clearly emotional, Frank added: “This time it’s happening! Thank you so much to Carrick, thank you, thank you, thank you.”
The superfan also revealed plans for a live watchalong ahead of the potential fifth win.
He said: “There will be a watchalong for the fifth game against West Ham. Some exciting plans coming up, more details to come.”
Frank began the challenge on October 5, 2024, when Erik ten Hag was still in charge.
Just days later, the Dutchman was sacked, but the haircut curse lived on.
His successor Ruben Amorim failed to deliver five consecutive wins during his entire reign.
The Portuguese boss’ best run was just three victories in a row, achieved only once.
Throughout it all, Frank’s hair continued to grow, and so did the online following.
Born in Oxford but now living in Spain, the United fan has documented every painful step of the challenge.
And there is a heartwarming ending in sight.
If and when the haircut finally happens, Frank has pledged to donate his hair to The Little Princess Trust.
The UK charity provides wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness.
For now, United just need one more win, and Bruno Fernandes may want to keep that barber booking handy.
