Tyson Fury is talking about wanting to return to his “throne” on top of the heavyweight division. At 37, it’s now or never for ‘The Gyspy King’ Fury to return to the ring if he wants to take advantage of the youth that he still has.

The retired former two-time heavyweight champion Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) has been licking his emotional wounds for the last year, still believing he deserved victories in his two fights against Oleksandr Usyk.

AJ & Usyk Paydays

If Fury returns to the ring in 2026, there’s a goldmine he can enjoy by fighting back-to-back fights against Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. It doesn’t matter if he loses both; the money he’ll make will be colossal. His net worth is currently estimated at $160 million.

Money Motivation

If Tyson is ambitious, he could fight three times in 2026 and increase his net worth to potentially half a billion. He would be this generation’s John D. Rockefeller.

“The king must return to his throne,” said former two-time heavyweight championTyson Fury via Sky Sports about returning to the ring in 2026.

“There is a long & lonely road that only I can walk on, but after the long & hard battles, awaits immortality!”

Weight Is the Key

To improve his chances of victory, Fury needs to trim down to the mid-240s, which is what he weighed when he upset Wladimir Klitschko in his younger days in 2015. In Tyson’s last two fights, he weighed 262 lbs and 281 pounds, respectively.

At those weights, he was too slow and plodding to do much against Usyk. He resembled a big, slow-moving bear, and it wasn’t going to work against the nimble-footed Oleksandr.

Hearn Wants It Bad

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, is eager to get the ‘Battle of Britain’ on in 2026, saying to Sky Sport, “I believe Fury is a competitor and that fight is on a plate for him now.”

Hearn has been pushing for the Fury vs. Joshua fight since he first signed AJ in 2013. Now, 12 years later, he’s still desperate to make this one happen. It’s up to Fury whether he wants to risk his pride and ego by facing Joshua to find out which of the two is the better fighter.
