“The player was then taken to the hospital, where he is clinically stable and remains under observation for further tests to clarify the diagnosis.”

Reports from Brazil suggest that bad news could cause the maestro to call time on his career, with an amicable termination of his contract on the cards.

Oscar joined Chelsea in 2012 and had a five-year spell in West London, making over 200 appearances and scoring 38 goals.

He helped the side bring two Premier League titles, a League Cup and a Europa League trophy to Stamford Bridge.

But in 2017 he made a shock January move to Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG, now known as Shanghai Port.

The massively lucrative move saw the Blues pocket a £60million transfer fee, while Oscar negotiated an eye-watering contract worth £400,000-per-week.

He would spend eight years raking it in in Asia, racking up an estimated £175MILLION before returning home to boyhood club Sao Paulo at the end of 2024.

But his homecoming has been plagued with injuries, allowing him to make just 27 appearances since arriving in Brazil.

But this latest health struggle is further than anything he has dealt with before, with fans hoping for more promising updates in the coming days.

The Blues were among those wishing him well, making a short statement on X that read: “The thoughts of everyone at Chelsea FC are with our former player Oscar and his family at this difficult time.”
