ENGLAND will hit the road for the first time at a home tournament in Euro 2028.
The Three Lions’ opening group game, on Saturday June 10, will be played at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
England’s remaining group games will be played at Wembley, the venue – across two stadiums – of every one of their fixtures played on UK soil at the 1966 World Cup, Euro 96 and the delayed Euro 2020.
But if England win their group, they would play their last 16 clash at St James’ Park, before returning to the national stadium for the quarter-finals, semi and July 9 Final, which will start at 5pm.
Uefa chiefs unveiled the full match schedule at a central London location this evening.
The tournament will use five English club grounds – completed by the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium and Villa Park.

The opening game of the tournament would see Wales – if they qualify – kicking off at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on Friday June 9.
Hampden Park in Glasgow and Dublin’s Aviva Stadium will also feature, with each of the three non-English grounds hosting four or five group matches, a last 16 contest and a quarter-final.
The four co-hosts will all enter the qualifying campaign that starts in March 2027.
Northern Ireland were forced to withdraw because of the failure to get the planned rebuild of Gaelic stadium Casement Park in time for the Uefa deadline although the qualifying draw will be held in Belfast in December 2026.
But there will be two fall-back slots left open for any of the quartet who fail to earn their place by right.
FA chair Debbie Hewitt, head of the tournament organising committee, said: “The countdown is truly on now to what will be an unforgettable summer of football.
