Despite not having flashy numbers, Ebuka Izundu has an impressive on-court presence, and he is staying with Crvena Zvezda for the long run.
As the club announced, their center has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2028.
Per the press release: “The center of KK Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Ebuka Izundu has extended his contract with the club for two more seasons and will remain in the red and white jersey until the end of the 2028 season!
Izundu, who arrived in our ranks before the start of the 2025 – 2026 season, is one of the most pleasant surprises of the entire Euroleague and a center who has shown that he will be the mainstay of our team in the seasons to come.
During the current season, Izundu has a performance of 8 points and 4 rebounds per match, during the 15 minutes he spends on average in the game, and according to this parameter, he is the most useful player in the Euroleague.
He was also the MVP of the 23rd round of the Euroleague in the game against Monaco, and with the great energy he left on the floor, he also played excellent games against Virtus and Dubai and had a significant impact on the already successful season of Red Star Meridianbet in the Euroleague.
His very important influence on our team’s game and performance is often not seen through statistical parameters, and with his behavior on and off the field, he showed that he will be an important player in the future of Red Star!
