Luka Doncic delivered 35 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a decisive 110–97 victory over the New York Knicks at crypto.com Arena.

With LeBron James sidelined due to injury on Sunday, the 27-year-old Slovenian combo guard took full command of the floor. In 38 minutes of play, Doncic tallied eight rebounds, four assists, and two blocks, shooting 11-of-25 from the field and connecting on five three-pointers.

During a postgame press conference, Doncic praised the team’s collective focus. “From the start of the game, I think everybody was really locked in. Especially on the defensive end, I think we did a great job. Holding a team like the New York Knicks under 100 is pretty amazing for us,” he noted.

The team coached by JJ Redick moved to a 39–25 record for the 2025–26 NBA Regular Season. Despite missing several open looks, Doncic emphasized their resilience: “It was not a perfect game, but we fought at the defensive end.”

The matchup also saw the return of German reserve Maxi Kleber, who navigated ten scoreless minutes after recovering from a lumbar back strain.

On the opposing side, British starter OG Anunoby had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Frenchman Mohamed Diawara added four points off the bench. However, Poland’s Jeremy Sochan, France’s Pacome Dadiet, and Germany’s Ariel Hukporti did not see game time.

The Lakers continue their five-game homestand against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Knicks move to the third stop of their five-game road trip to face the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
