EVEN the most eagle-eyed Dream Team managers may have missed Elliot Anderson’s (£4.3m) low-key masterclass against Brighton.

Nottingham Forest lost 2-0 to the Seagulls at the City Ground but their No8 banked five bonus points in defeat, the maximum available.

As a reminder, bonus points are determined by Player Performance Marks (PPM), awarded for various positive actions outside of those that result in direct points.

Players must accumulate 12+ PPM to earn the maximum of five bonus points, a relatively rare achievement.

Against Brighton, Anderson registered 20 PPM!

For comparison, no other Forest player finished on more than five.

ANDERSON’S PLAYER PERFORMANCE MARKS VERSUS BRIGHTON

  • 6 Successful crosses
  • 6 Successful dribbles
  • 4 Fouls won
  • 2 Interceptions
  • 87% Pass completion (+2)

While this is an off-the-charts performance, it’s no surprise Anderson was the man responsible.

The 23-year-old has amassed 129 PPM in 2025/26, comfortably the most among all players, at an average of 7.6 per game.

Dream Team’s objective scoring system favours his all-action style, something that has made him a regular starter for England under Thomas Tuchel in recent times.

Anderson ranks first for fouls won, fifth for successful dribbles, seventh for accurate crosses, and boasts a pass completion rate of 87%.

It’s no wonder he is the first player to reach 30 bonus points this season.

MOST BONUS POINTS THIS SEASON

  • 30 – Elliot Anderson
  • 25 – Jeremy Doku
  • 21 – Ezri Konsa
  • 21 – Jack Grealish
  • 19 – Moises Caicedo
  • 19 – Phil Foden
  • 19 – Dominik Szoboszlai

It would be foolish to underestimate the value for bonus points as they soon add up.

Anderson is on track to rack up between 80-90 by the end of the campaign.

A specialist in the middle third of the pitch, he’s only scored one goal in all competitions this season (a penalty against Leeds) and yet he’s among the top ten performers in his position having notched 99 points in total.

As well the regular supply of bonus points, Anderson has provided three assists and ranks joint-third among midfielders for tackles with 44.

Anderson has produced healthy returns as a consistent value-for-money option in the mid-range since Gameweek 1.

He currently features in 4.8% of teams but many more gaffers should be keeping a close eye on him.
