DAVID BROOKS has become a dad for the first time after wife Flora gave birth to a girl.

The Wales and Bournemouth attacker, 28, announced in June he was expecting his first child and how lucky he felt because he feared it would never happen after his cancer diagnosis.

Brooks posted on Instagram on Tuesday night to reveal his happy news.

Brooks posted on Insta: “Our beautiful baby girl born 27/10/25 Lottie Elizabeth Brooks Special addition to our family @florabrooks_ Love you”

Brooks previously revealed the possibility of parent life was in doubt when he battled stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma in October 2021.

He said this summer: “When I was diagnosed, I had those conversations and there was never any guarantees that I would be able to have children in the future.

“There was a chance that it wouldn’t have been possible. I was really lucky that it’s happened naturally.

“After the treatment, everything has gone back to normal. I’m really happy.

“I always wanted to start a family. My wife and I always wanted kids at some point.

“My situation took it out of my hands, so it’s very nice that everything has happened naturally and progressed into being a family.

“I’m really looking forward to it and I know my wife is, even though she’s the pregnant one and going through all that.

“I’m delighted – there were a few tears and now we’re really looking forward to it. We’re still a few months away – but I can’t wait.”

He and Flora got married last summer at a lavish ceremony in North Yorkshire.

And when they revealed they were expecting a child, the couple posted pictures of the ultrasound along with a cake that said ‘Baby Brooks’ on it – and a Bournemouth shirt with ‘Daddy 7’ on the back.

Brooks was diagnosed with cancer after suffering sudden weight loss and night sweats.

He underwent regular chemotherapy that left him “barely able to get out of bed”.

But he received the incredible news that he had been given the all clear in May 2022.

Brooks has since gone back to playing regularly in the Premier League after appearing 33 times for the Cherries last season.

This season he has started seven times for Andoni Iraola and is hopeful of appearing at the 2026 World Cup as Wales continue their bid under Craig Bellamy.
