Lapin dictated the fight behind the lead hand from the opening bell and brought the right hand straight down the middle once he had his feet set. As Bulmeistars started to give ground, Lapin closed the space and let his combinations go, tight and direct.

A right hand forced the count, and once Bulmeistars got back up still taking clean shots, the referee stepped in.

Lapin finished the fight without taking anything clean back.

Oleksandr Khyzhniak Stops Wilmer Baron in One

Oleksandr Khyzhniak (1-0, 1 KO) stepped into the pro game and ended it early, stopping Wilmer Baron (8-14-1) in the first round of their scheduled six-round light heavyweight fight.

Khyzhniak kept his stance tight and worked behind the jab. He stepped in with full force and dropped Baron with a firm jab midway through the round, showing timing and accuracy rather than loading up.

Khyzhniak let short combinations go, and finished the fight with a right hand. The punches were straight, balanced, and delivered with control.

Usyk Runs Camp in Ukraine as Joshua Joins

Oleksandr Usyk watched ringside as the event played out, using the card as part of his preparation for his May 23 bout with Rico Verhoeven in Giza.

“My preparation doesn’t change, I approach every opponent with the same seriousness,” Usyk told Ukraine’s public broadcaster Suspilne.

“I train against myself; I am my own toughest opponent because the odds are even. Sometimes my friend Sashko comes up and says, ‘Maybe we should rest?’ And I tell him: ‘You go rest, I need to work.’”

Anthony Joshua has now joined the camp and is training with Usyk’s team under Iegor Golub. The sessions have added pace, with Joshua working on timing, conditioning, and punch selection as he builds toward his return.

Eddie Hearn told BoxingScene.com: “He’s had a great few days. That’s how long he’s been in camp, and no decisions yet about when a return will be.”

He added: “I spoke to Joshua last night, and this morning he said, ‘I’ve had a great week. I feel amazing.’”
