As Round 30 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season approaches, the atmosphere in Belgrade is electric. Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet is set to host FC Bayern Munich at the iconic Belgrade Arena this Friday, with significant playoff implications on the line. Currently tied for sixth place with a 17-12 record, the Serbian giants are fighting to solidify their postseason positioning. Meanwhile, the visitors arrive with a 12-17 record, desperate to bridge the four-game gap separating them from the Play-In Showdown zone.

Head coach Sasa Obradovic provided an optimistic yet cautious update on the squad’s health. “Everyone is available,” he stressed during a pregame media session on Thursday, confirming that both Tyson Carter and Jasiel Rivero are back in the fold. However, the roster remains short of one key piece, as Isaiah Canaan remains sidelined long-term following a devastating ACL injury.

The medical room is finally beginning to clear. Most notably, 28-year-old Carter, who has been sidelined since Round 4 after being diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, has made significant strides in his recovery. Following his hospital discharge and several months of home treatment, Obradovic confirmed that the guard has officially resumed training. Similarly, 32-year-old forward Rivero, who has been out since injuring his foot in the season opener, has finally returned to full team practices.

Despite their return to the floor, fans should not expect either player to log heavy minutes immediately. “Everyone needs time, both Carter and Rivero,” noted 57-year-old Obradovic. “It’s definitely early days, but I’ll say again that we’ll change the team lineups from game to game.” With nearly the full roster available, the Belgrade outfit enters Friday’s clash with the depth and home-court advantage needed to inch closer to a coveted Top 6 finish.
