Chelsea Green is still WWE Women’s Champion, a title she now officially holds as WWE has dropped the “interim,” after a victory over Nia Jax on “WWE SmackDown.” Jax dominated a good portion of the match, and her tag team partner, Lash Legend attempted to get involved, but Green, with the help of Tiffany Stratton, got the job done.
Green tried to take the fight to Jax immediately after the bell rang, and she got her opponent outside of the ring. Green looked for a dive, but Jax caught her and drove her into the apron before sending her flying over the Spanish commentary table.
The champion countered more of Jax’s offense with a step-up enzuigiri. Green hit Jax with a missile dropkick, sending her out of the ring again, but Jax caught her next kick, dropping Green on the apron. Jax hit Green with a senton back in the ring after sending her face-first into the turnbuckle multiple times before hanging her up by the mask on the top rope.
Jax was thrown from the top by Green, who then hit the challenger with a hurricanrana and a pair of double knees, but Jax countered a stomp attempt into a Samoan Drop. Jax took off Green’s protective face mask and sent her to the outside, where Legend was waiting, but Stratton intercepted the big right hand on behalf of her friend.
Green sent Legend into the ring post, then dodged the Annihilator and got the mask back on. The women wrestled over the mask on the ropes again, but Green was able to hit the Unprettier for the win.
