DREAM TEAM managers have until 6:30pm on Friday to confirm their transfers for Gameweek 23.

It should be a high-scoring affair as all 20 Premier League clubs are scheduled to play twice.

There are too many viable transfer targets to list this week but allow us outline the credentials of a select few for consideration.

Bruno Fernandes (£6.6m)

Manchester United’s captain should always be considered among the strongest options when not hindered by the schedule.

Only Erling Haaland (£7.3m) averages more points-per-game than Fernandes this season, a telling statistic.

The Portuguese playmaker has registered 13 assists this campaign, the highest tally among all players despite the fact he has been limited to league commitments and just two cup appearances.

DOUBLE BUBBLE

Which double headers should Dream Team managers target in Gameweek 23?

Michael Carrick has led his side to the top of the form table after consecutive wins over Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham.

Gameweek 23 brings a home game against an injury-ravaged Tottenham and a trip to relegation-threatened West Ham, a favourable double header on paper.

Bryan Mbeumo (£6m) and Matheus Cunha (£5.4m) also have the necessary attributes to cash in.

Enzo Fernandez (£4.7m)

Chelsea’s No8 has been a regular inclusion in our transfer targets in recent weeks and we feel compelled to highlight him again with Wolves (a) and Leeds (h) up next.

Fernandez has added 61 points across the last four Gameweeks in a fruitful run that has featured four goals and two assists.

And only three midfielders have registered more shots on target this season.

Liam Rosenior’s side were dreadful in the first half against West Ham last weekend (before a spirited comeback) and were criticised for a meek showing against Arsenal in their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg but their Gameweek 23 double header is crying out to be harvested.

Joao Pedro (£4.2m) is just as likely to take advantage although his minutes are not secure as Fernandez’s — the Brazilian forward started on the bench against the Hammers.

Jarrod Bowen (£5m)

Backing West Ham assets may feel counter-intuitive but their skipper has long been a proven performer regardless of his team’s form.

Lately, Bowen has had help from an in-form Crysencio Summerville (£3.8m), who has scored in four consecutive outings, and the pair could run riot at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Burnley are bottom of the form table and their performance against Sunderland on Monday night was that of a team without much hope of avoiding relegation.

Bowen has scored eight goals and provided four assists this season but he has more routes to points than most forwards.

He ranks first in his position for tackles and second for bonus points.

The Irons will host Man United in midweek but it’s this weekend’s match-up with the Clarets that has the potential to yield bountiful returns.

Bowen’s current ownership of 4.3% feels low while Summerville features in only 0.4% of teams.

Daniel Munoz (£5.6m)

This recommendation comes with the caveat that Crystal Palace have been sinking like a stone in recent weeks.

That being said, it would foolish to underestimate the pedigree of their Colombian wing-back.

Munoz averages seven points-per-game this season, the highest rate among defenders, with Gabriel (£4.8m), Cristian Romero (£4.3m) and Jurrien Timber (£4m) playing catch-up.

One would be hard pressed to find a more attack-minded defender and the 29-year-old ranks highly for tackles too.

Palace are due to face rivals Brighton on Sunday but they too have the luxury of a game against Burnley (at Selhurst Park) this coming Gameweek.

Dream Team bosses in need of a difference-maker should have Munoz high up their shortlist as he currently appears in just 2.7% of teams — incredibly low ownership for one of the absolute best performers in his position.
