Mike Perry could have the biggest fight of his career awaiting him in his BKFC return.

The “King of Violence,” who has become the face of bare-knuckle fighting, didn’t get a spot on the upcoming KnuckleMania VI card in February but that’s because the promotion has even bigger plans for him. BKFC president David Feldman teased that Perry has a fight in the works that would match him up against the biggest name of his career — and now it’s just a matter of getting the deal done.

“We’re probably targeting right around the May area,” Feldman told MMA Fighting about Perry’s return. “It’s a huge name. It will be the biggest name that he ever fought times five. Huge name. It’s going to be unbelievable.

“We’re going to do a fight here in Florida. Like I told you we’re going to break combat sports records, we’re going to break the combat sports record in Florida come May. 100 percent.”

Since joining the BKFC roster, Perry has remained undefeated while taking out names like Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez and Michael “Venom” Page. Most recently, Perry dispatched Jeremy Stephens in a dominant performance as he moved to 6-0 in his BKFC career.

If there’s been one hindrance to Perry’s career it’s that he commands so much attention when he fights along with a sizable paycheck that BKFC has to be very specific when picking his opponents.

While current BKFC champions like Dave Mundell have repeatedly called out Perry for a fight, Feldman acknowledged that the promotion seeks out the biggest names possible when putting together fights for him because that brings maximum returns for the company.

But Feldman says what he’s working on currently is beyond his wildest dreams and he hopes to have something finalized for Perry in the very near future.

“A name everybody knows,” Feldman teased about Perry’s next opponent. “Everybody’s going to be a little surprised by it. But it’s a big name and it’s going to be a big event down here.

“Mike’s from down here so we want to do a homecoming with him. It’s going to be a huge, huge name here in the Orlando area. It’s going to be big.”
