Conor McGregor has compiled a legendary list of accomplishments in his fighting career, but BKFC president David Feldman believes the best is yet to come.

The former two-division champion has been campaigning to return at UFC White House, expected to take place on June 14, though no bouts have been made official for the historic event and McGregor recently claimed he’s negotiating a new with the promotion. Given McGregor’s star status, it’s likely there’s a lot of work to be done before he steps foot in the octagon again.

Feldman and McGregor have been in business together since McGregor became a co-owner of BKFC in 2024, and from what Feldman has seen of his associate, he’s confident McGregor will not only fight at the White House, he’ll also be in world class form after making changes to his lifestyle.

“Let me tell you something,” Feldman told The Boys in the Back. “The best times 10 Conor McGregor you’ve ever seen right now. Better than he was when he was in his prime. The most focused, just wants to do everything right. He’s training his ass off each and every day. He’s eating right, he’s going to church, he’s doing everything he’s supposed to do. This is not a Conor McGregor that we’ve seen in the past couple of years.

“This is the best Conor McGregor that I’ve personally ever seen and I’m talking on TV and everywhere. I’ve never seen a Conor McGregor like this, more focused than I ever thought he ever could get, but he is.”

McGregor has not fought since breaking his leg in a loss to longtime rival Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, and has not won a fight since defeating Donald Cerrone in 2020. Prior to his slump, McGregor was one of the UFC’s most successful fighters, winning titles at 145 and 155 pounds and setting numerous promotional records at the box office.

However, McGregor has been more known for his outside-of-the-cage controversies than his athletic endeavors, including being found liable for sexual assault in November 2024 in a civil suit tied to allegations from 2018, and a run for presidency in Ireland that realistically never got off the ground.

Despite all that, Feldman sees McGregor making his return in 2026 and getting his wish to fight at the White House in front of President Donald Trump.

“I don’t know the negotiations going on as far as financials,” Feldman said. “I know that Conor had said publicly that his contract was a little shaky because of the pay-per-view points that he had in there, but I’m sure that the UFC wants Conor McGregor to fight. He’s going to fight and they’re going to make it work. It makes sense for him to fight at the White House. He visited the White House. He’s friends with Trump. He’s friends with Trump’s wife. It just makes sense for him to be here.

“So my confidence level is probably around 99 percent.”
