The Canadian guard is set to make his EuroLeague debut

According to Spanish journalist Chema De Lucas, AJ Lawson has a deal with Baskonia to join the Spanish club.

And while Lawson is Canadian and has represented his country in national team competitions, he also has a Jamaican passport, making him a part of the Cotonou agreement.

The 26-year-old player has spent four seasons in the NBA, appearing in 107 games, making a splash mainly in the G League.

After not getting drafted, he signed with Minessota in 2021 and also played for Dallas and, in the last two seasons, for Toronto.

Back in 2018 he was part of the Canadian national team that won the silver medal in the FIBA American U18 championship.
