Panathinaikos departs from Greece for Bosnia and Sarajevo, which now hosts Dubai BC, for the match between them (24/3, 20:30) in the context of the 33rd round of the Euroleague.

The team’s coach, Ergin Ataman, in his statements before the flight, stated that Richaun Holmes is no longer on the roster and that the club will inform about what will happen.

He said in detail:

On the fact that the match is being played in Sarajevo and not in Dubai:

“It’s positive, because we won’t be flying 5 hours but 1. I would prefer of course that there was no war and that we were playing in Dubai. The team is strong and now they have the entire roster, while in the first round match, Musa and Bacon had not played. It is a very important game, as are the 6 remaining ones for us to have a good position in the playoffs”.

On Dubai:

“They are a very good offensive team, with Bacon, Musa, Kampengele, they have a good three-pointer with Bertans. McKinley-Wright is also a good player, one of the best aces in the Euroleague. Certainly, the defense will be very important, because Dubai has great offensive potential”.

On whether Panathinaikos has any absences:

“We have 12 players on the squad, so we don’t have any absences. If we were 11 I would say we have absences. We are 12 and 100% ready to face this important game.”.

On whether Holmes is on the roster:

“Richaun Holmes will not be on the roster. It’s a club matter now. So I think the club will give some information about that.”
