CARDIFF will host the 2026 Community Shield as Manchester City and Arsenal go head-to-head for a fourth time this season.

The Millennium Stadium will set the scene for the clash between the FA Cup winner and the champions of the previous Premier League season.

Because both teams can only finish in the top two places in the table, the fixture can already be named.

While it would normally be played at Wembley, the Prem is set to start on the weekend of August 22 and the national stadium has already been booked.

The Weeknd is set to take centre stage in the capital from August 14 to 19 as part of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour.

By the time August rolls around, the Prem may be a forgotten thought for the runners-up as the league comes to a close on May 24.

Both teams have plotted their routes for a trophy parade but only one team is certain to walk away with silverware this season as Pep Guardiola’s men have already lifted the League Cup and FA Cup.

Arsenal are due to host relegated Burnley before travelling to Crystal Palace as the South London club say farewell to boss Oliver Glasner.

They are also preparing for their first Champions League final since 2006 against holders Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30.

Meanwhile, City continue the title chase from two points behind, needing their London counterparts to slip up in order to be crowned champions.

They are out of the Champions League too.

But they are still set to travel south to Bournemouth who will play their last home game under Andoni Iraola before heading to Villa Park.
