KAI HAVERTZ’S heartbroken wife has revealed her horse has died as she paid an emotional tribute to her “soulmate”.
The Arsenal star has been sidelined since the opening day of the Premier League season following knee surgery.
And the German attacking midfielder, 26, has now had to deal with the fallout after missus Sophia’s pet passed away.
The couple, who wed last year, welcomed the birth of their first son in March.
Model Sophia posted a series of pictures and clips on social media of herself and Havertz with brown-and-white horse Cielo.
They include images of her kissing and snuggling up to the creature, and of Havertz standing next to it in a stream.

An emotional Sophia, 25, wrote: “I know us crossing paths in life was meant to be.
“You healed the little girl in me and you will forever be my absolute soulmate.
“My grief is a reflection of how much love I have for you and that gives me peace, knowing how much you were loved.
“I miss you tremendously. The place in my heart that has your name on it will never be replaced.
“I hope heaven is filled with all the treats you can eat. I will love you forever & ever – run free.”
Havertz and Sophia met during his time with German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
He moved to Chelsea in a £71million deal five years ago.
The 55-cap international scored the Blues’ winner against Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League final.
Arsenal then paid £65m for him in 2023, and he has so far scored 29 goals in 88 Gunners appearances.
Boss Mikel Arteta said at the weekend he hopes Havertz will be back in contention after the international break.
