Aline Pereira defends her Karate Combat flyweight title when she takes on former Bellator champion Juliana Velasquez on July 24 in Miami, the promotion announced.

This match marks the return of Pereira—the sister of UFC star Alex Pereira—to the promotion after scoring back-to-back wins in MMA, including a decision over Jade Masson-Wong on the undercard of Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, to improve to 3-2 in MMA.

Pereira is unbeaten under Karate Combat rules with a pair of left hook knockouts against Dee Begley and Amanda Torres, and claimed a vacant flyweight belt in a decision against Fani Peloumpi in July 2025.

Velasquez makes the move to Karate Combat after a 14-4 career in MMA, a run that includes title fight wins over Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Denise Kielholtz in Bellator, plus victories against the likes of Alejandra Lara and future UFC fighter Liang Na. She joined PFL after the promotion acquired Bellator and went 2-2 under the company’s banner, avenging her most recent defeat with a decision over Ekaterina Shakalova in her final league appearance.

Karate Combat 62 is headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between defending champion Sam Alvey and fellow UFC veteran Uriah Hall, while Oussama Assli puts his welterweight belt on the line in versus Lucas Martins the co-main event.
