“AEW Collision” has remained relatively consistent in average viewership and ratings, with the show seeing a slight decline in the former and a slight increase in the latter for the August 15 show.
“Collision,” which was taped in Las Vegas on August 12 and aired three days later, drew an average of 409,000 viewers, down from the previous week’s 418,000, as per “Wrestlenomics.” The show’s viewership is slightly lower than the four-week average of 415,000. Over in the 18-49 key demographic rating, the Saturday night show saw a slight gain, rising from 0.05 for the August 8 show to 0.06 for the August 15 event, which is also the same as the four-week average.
“Collision’s” viewership has seen a gradual increase over the last three months, with the show averaging 397,000 viewers in June, rising to 412,000 in July, and averaging 414,000 so far this month.
The August 15 show began with the successful defense of Adam Page and Brodido’s AEW World Trios Championship against Lethal Twist, while there were a host of Continental Challenge Cup first round matches. Hechicero and Nigel McGuinness progressed to the next round after defeating Brian Cage and Katsuyori Shibata, respectively, while the main event saw Kyle O’Reilly get one over old friend Roderick Strong in what was a match for the ages.
