This week on “Dynamite”, AEW’s newest signees, Jordan Oliver and Alec Price made their debut against FTR. Tonight, they’ll face the new tag team of Davis & Doyle. Davis & Doyle will face FTR for the tag titles on next week’s “Dynamite”.

Last week, Andrade made his in-ring return against Angelico. He looks to continue his winning ways when he faces one half of CMLL’s National Tag Team Champion, Magnus. Roderick Strong defeated Titán in CMLL to earn the opportunity to face Claudio Castagnoli for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship. 

On last week’s “Collision”, ProtoShita reunited and tonight they’ll be in action against Austin and Billy Gunn.

Former TBS Champion, Julia Hart challenged Willow Nightingale for her former title. This will be Nightingale’s first title defense since winning it back on New Years Smash. Ahead of her title match against Thekla, Kris Statlander issued an open challenge for a title eliminator match and Isla Dawn answered. If she wins, she’ll get a future shot at the Women’s World Championship.

One week ago, Hangman Page and JetSpeed got a surprise victory over The Opps to become World Trios Champions. Both members of JetSpeed had singles matches on “Dynamite”. Tonight, Page will take on Katsyouri Shibata.

Paul White joined commentary for the night.

Hangman Page vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Shibata comes to the ring first. Page follows.

They start off exchanging blows before Page sends him to the outside, into the barricade, and slammed his face on the commentary table. Page threw him in the ring and Shibata immediately kicked him off the apron with a big boot before tossing him into the barricade. He sat Page in a chair and went for a missile dropkick, but Page moved. Shibata’s leg was hung over the barricade when Page sent him onto the time keeper’s table. They battled in the crowd. Page slammed Shibata’s face into the time keeper’s table before putting him in a chair and connecting with a big boot.

He put Shibata in the ring and did a fallaway slam. Page ran into a boot, sent Shibata to the apron and ran into Shibata’s boot. Shibata pulled him to the apron for a suplex and then a suplex on the floor. Shibata stomped his knee to the floor. Shibata worked Page’s knee and put him in a leg lock until Page made it to the ropes. Shibata stomped his knee.

After the break, Shibata delivered multiple kicks to Page’s chest. They exchanged blows once Page got to his feet. Shibata poked him in the eye. They chased each other to the corners and hit each other. They exchange suplexes. Both men went for forearms and collapsed on the mat. They exchange blows from their knees. They get to their feet and continue to exchange blows. Shibata lowballed Page before sending him to the apron. Page blocked a suplex and connected with a Deadeye. Page landed a moonsault on Shibata. Page put him back in the ring, but Shibata blocked a Buckshot with a Russian Leg Sweep into a neck lock.

Shibata went for a dropkick, but Page moved and hit a lariat and a Buckshot lariat for the win.

Winner: Hangman Page

Isla Dawn (w/ GYV) vs. Kris Statlander- Women’s World Title Eliminator

Dawn comes to the ring, accompanied by GYV. Statlander follows.

They lock up and Stat backs her into the corner and wails on her. Dawn with a big boot. Stat grabbed her legs to block a dropkick and sent her face first into the turnbuckle. Dawn with an elbow strike and kicked her off the apron. She put Stat in the ring and slammed her. They exchange blows and kicks before Dawn lands a Saito Suplex. She followed by sending Stat to the corner and placing her on the turnbuckle Stat sent her crashing to the mat and connecting with a missile dropkick and a powerbomb and Saturday Night Fever.

Winner: Kris Statlander

Backstage, Thekla is wearing a Stat shirt and said it’s so sad that was her last win as champion. She took off her shirt and spit on it. She said “live long and prosper” before flipping off the camera. 

Austin & Billy Gunn vs. ProtoShita

Austin comes to the ring first, followed by his dad. Takeshita comes to the ring next, followed by Fletcher, who is accompanied by Don Callis.

Fletcher and Austin start us off. Fletcher backed him to the ropes. Fletcher slammed him to the mat. Austin worked his arm. Fletcher kicked him and chopped him in the corner. Austin tripped Fletcher while they were running the ropes. Billy tagged in and Fletcher wanted to do a test of strength. Billy put his arms up and then told him to suck it. Fletcher kicked him in the gut. Fletcher attempted a shoulder tackle, but Billy didn’t budge. Takeshita tagged in and they locked up. Takeshita backed him to the corner and slapped him in the mouth. Billy decked him and Takeshita did the same. Takeshita took him down with a flying shoulder and Billy rolled to the outside. Callis took off his headset and chopped Billy, who started to chase him when Takeshita attacked him from behind.

After the break, Fletcher moved when Billy tried to connect with a FameAsser. Billy connected with one and rolled him up for two. Fletcher with an Irish Whip and Austin tagged in and they landed 3:10 to Yuma, but Takeshita broke up the pin. Billy pulled Takeshita up by the hair and Takshita forearmed him. Austin connected with a slingblade on Takeshita. Fletcher suplexed Austin and both men are down.

Takeshita tagged in and ProtoShita double teamed Austin. Billy pulled Fletcher out of the ring and sent him into the barricade. Austin had him in an inside cradle and Takeshita blocked a FameAsser and connected with a Blue Thunder Bomb, only for Billy to break up the pin. Fletcher hit Billy with a thrust kick and Takeshita forearmed him. They sent him out of the ring with simultaneous thrust kicks and forearms. Takeshita charged at Austin, but he ducked and hit him with a forearm. Fletcher connected with a running leg in the corner before Takeshita connected with Raging Fire for the win.

Winner: ProtoShita

After the match, Kazuchika Okada came out and grinned at Takeshita. He had to be held back by Fletcher and Callis. 

Mark Davis & Jake Doyle vs. Alec Price & Jordan Oliver

Price and Oliver come to the ring first. Davis and Doyle follow, accompanied by Callis.

Doyle took out Price and Oliver before the bell rang. Price forearmed Doyle several times before Doyle trucked him. Oliver jumped on Doyle’s back and Davis pulled him off into a suplex. Davis and Doyle were slapping each other’s chests to hype each other up. They splashed them in the corners before tossing Oliver and Price into each other. Davis kicked Price to the floor and Doyle slammed Oliver to the mat. Davis bounced Price’s skull off the announce table.

Doyle turned Oliver inside out and dragged him to the corner to tag in Davis. Davis kicked Oliver in the spine and threw him face first into the turnbuckle before chopping him repeatedly. Davis ran to the corner to knock Price off the apron before landing a sliding forearm to Oliver. He tried pinning Oliver with his knees, but Oliver got out. He punched Davis in the gut repeatedly. Davis slammed him and went for a senton, but Oliver rolled away.

Davis kept him from tagging in. He went for a splash, but Oliver moved and tagged in Price. Price leapt over Davis and kicked Doyle off the apron. He forearmed Davis repeatedly. Davis tossed Price in the air, but Price landed a dropkick in the face. Price with a neckbreaker from the ropes. Oliver kicked Doyle in the gut and Price connected with a scissor kick before Oliver kicked Doyle into the corner. Oliver with a baseball slide through the middle rope to kick Doyle. Price went for a tope, but was caught. Doyle threw Price while Davis threw Oliver, making them hit each other. Doyle and Davis put them over their shoulders and slam them into one another before slamming them to the mat. Davis did a piledriver on Price while Doyle did a spinning slam on Price. Doyle and Davis each get the pin.

Winner: Davis & Doyle

After the match, Callis addressed FTR. He said he had a vision of retiring FTR and the Don Callis Family owning the tag titles. Backstage, Stoke said Callis is a liar. He called FTR truth tellers and upstanding citizens. 

Julia Hart vs. Willow Nightingale – TBS Championship match

Hart comes to the ring first. Nightingale follows.

Hart with a stand and switch before pushing her in the face. She attempted a shoulder tackle and crumpled to the mat. Hart attempted a hip toss. Nightingale went for a lariat, but Hart moved. Nightingale took her down with a shoulder tackle. Nightingale went for a leg drop, but Hart moved. Hart put her in a crucifix. Nightingale did a suplex into a bridge. She forearmed Hart repeatedly in the corner. Hart hit Nightingale in the throat and chopped her. Hart brought her to the corner and walked the ropes before landing a hurricanrana. Hart charged Nightingale, but she elbowed her and went up top for a dropkick.

Skye Blue jumped up on the apron and Nightingale yelled that she was sick of her interfering. Harley Cameron ran down the ramp and hit Blue in the neck and they brawled to the back. Nightingale attempted a cannonball, but Hart moved out of the way. Hart did a neckbreaker over the rope and pinned her for two.

After the break, Hart chopped Nightingale in the corner and followed with a running lariat in the other corner. Hart splashed her before doing a version of Sole Food. Nightingale rocked her with a lariat, but both women were down. Nightingale chopped her three times and splashed her in the corner before connecting with a lariat. Hart kicked Nightingale off the turnbuckle to the floor. She slammed Nightingale’s face into the apron repeatedly. Hart pulled her by her hair and did the tightrope walk on the barricade, but Nightingale hit her in the leg and put her in a vertical suplex before dropping her onto the floor.

She put Hart back in the ring before landing a cannonball and covering her for two. She sent her to the corner. Hart tangled her up in the ropes. Nightingale had her on her shoulders, but Hart elbowed her in the face to get out of it. Hart landed a DDT. Hart followed win another pin attempt. Hart put her in a modified Octopus Hold, but Nightingale rammed her into the corner. Hart double stomped her and sent Nightingale to the mat. Hart went for a moonsault, but Nightingale got her feet up. Hart reversed out of a Babe with the Powerbomb and pinned her for 2.5. Nightingale connected with Babe with the Powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Magnus vs. Andrade

Magnus came to the ring first followed by Andrade.

Andrade worked Magnus’ arm. Magnus kicked him in the gut and face. Andrade responded with an elbow strike and a chop against the ropes. Andrade sidestepped a crossbody and kicked him in the shoulder. Andrade held his neck against the rope with his knee. Andrade sent him crashing into the turnbuckle. He followed with a back body drop. Andrade took him down with a big boot and then chopped him to the mat. He tied him up in the ropes and kicked Magnus in the gut. Magnus kicked him in the face and took him down with a tijares. Magnus went for a tope, but Andrade punched him in the face.

Andrade took off his shirt as the fans had been chanting for him too. He posed for a photo with a fan and appeared to put his number in her phone. He then shoved Magnus into the steps.

After the break, Magnus was on the top turnbuckle when Andrade knocked him off. He followed with Three Amigos. He pinned him for one before pulling Magnus up. He tried to untie Magnus’s mask until Aubrey slapped his hands away. He stomped Magnus down. Magnus rolled him up for two. Andrade chopped him and Magnus dropkicked his knee out from under him. He followed with a kick to the head. He sent Andrade over the top rope and landed a tope suicida on Andrade.

Magnus put him in the ring and connected with a Senton Atomica. Andrade tripped a charging Magnus. Andrade hit Magnus with running knees. He pinned him for one and pulled him up. Andrade connected with the DM for the win.

Winner: Andrade

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong – CMLL Heavyweight Championship

Strong comes to the ring first, accompanied by Orange Cassidy. Castagnoli follows, accompanied by Wheeler Yuta as Jon Moxley joins commentary and Marina stands next to him, holding his title. Tony Khan presented the title, as is custom for the president to present the title in Mexico.

Claudio kicked Strong in the gut as Justin Roberts was saying his name. He pummeled him in the corner and kicked him repeatedly. The bell rings and Strong chops him across the ring. Claudio struck him before throwing him to the floor. Strong chopped him repeatedly. Claudio chopped him. They exchanged chops until Claudio put him back in the ring. They continue exchanging blows. Claudio put him in a side headlock. Strong took him down with a dropkick. Strong pummeled him in the corner and chopped him to the floor.

Strong shoved him into the barricade and chopped him. Claudio threw him onto the barrier outside the time keeper’s area. Claudio put him back in the ring and stomped Strong’s knee and thigh. He continued working Strong’s knee. Strong slammed his knee into the mat. Claudio uppercut him twice before punching him in the ribs. Strong fought out of the corner, but Claudio kicked him and slammed him in the ropes. He went back to working the knee.

Claudio chopped Strong in the chest. Strong shoved him and said “come on!” They did this several times. Strong chopped him repeatedly and followed with a backbreaker. Strong went through the ropes, but Claudio moved and sent him into the barricade and did a knee drop on the barricade.

After the break, Claudio continued working the knee. Strong kicked him in the face to break the hold. Claudio stomped the knee and followed with an uppercut. Strong kicked a charging Claudio. Strong sent Claudio to the outside and kicked him through the ropes. Strong with a backdrop on the barricade before sending him into the ringpost. Strong put him back in the ring and took him down with a lariat. He chopped him against the ropes. He followed with a knee strike. He slammed Claudio to the mat and covered him for two. Strong pulled him to his feet and attempted a backbreaker, but Claudio took his knee out and slammed it repeatedly into the mat. Claudio put him in a single leg crab. Strong kicked him in the chest, but Claudio stomped his chest. Strong reversed Claudio and sent him to the mat. Claudio connected with an uppercut, but Strong’s toe was on the rope.

Claudio uppercut him repeatedly and kicked his knee in the ropes before dropkicking his knee. He put him on the turnbuckle and joined him. Strong got out between his legs and shoved Claudio onto the rope. Strong climbed back up and slammed him into the mat. Strong attempted to flip Claudio, but Claudio punched him in the leg. Strong locked in a Boston Crab, but Claudio made it to the rope. Claudio put him in the Giant Swing into a single leg crab. Strong kicked him off and Claudio went to the outside. Claudio wrapped his leg into the ring post and slammed his knee into it. Strong pulled Claudio face first into the ringpost. Yuta swung Strong’s leg into the ringpost. Cassidy responded with an Orange Punch. Claudio took Cassidy out. Strong hit Claudio with two knee lifts. Claudio rolled out of the ring and Strong put him back in. Strong pulled down his kneepad and went for a knee strike, but Claudio put the ref in the way and Strong kicked him. Claudio put him in the Giant Swing with one leg before hitting The Neutralizer for the win.
