AEK achieved their second victory in Group J of the Round of 16 in the Basketball Champions League in Athens, as they defeated Alba Berlin with a score of 88-80 in the second round.
Frank Bartley played a masterful game, finishing with 26 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Alongside him, RaiQuan Grey scored in double figures with 16 points.
On the other side, Jack Kayil scored 20 points, three more than Moses Wood, while Norris Agbakoko had 12 points and eight rebounds.
It was an excellent duel in Greece, where Alba was better in the first three quarters and entered the last ten minutes with a six-point lead (64-70). However, AEK played a brilliant final ten minutes, allowing only ten points, with Vasilis Charalampopoulos emerging as the hero by hitting a three-pointer to give his team the lead entering the last two minutes (79-76), and then securing the win with free throws.
AEK will head into the third round at the top of Group J with two victories and will face Tofas away. On the other side, Alba has one win and one loss, and in the third round, they will host AS Karditsa.
