ONE Geordie is absolutely sure who is to blame for Newcastle United’s poor form away from home.

The Magpies fell to a fifth Premier League defeat in nine on the road as their winless run continued with a loss to Brentford on Sunday.

It is now seven months since the Toon last picked up three points in the league on their travels and this result capped off a problematic week for Eddie Howe.

Despite continuing their good form in Europe, Newcastle could only take two losses from trips to West Ham and Brentford, even after going ahead in both.

For Geordie Shore star Scotty T (Scott Timlin), enough is enough.

Writing on X at full-time, he said: “The progress we’ve made over such a short period of time is astounding…

“But the decline we’ve seen since qualifying for Champs League is mind boggling.

“The away form is absolutely minging. You aren’t getting Europe if this is how you show up for 19 games of the season.

“Eddie Howe has serious questions to answer – the entire fanbase is fuming with the decisions to play the likes of [Nick] Pope & [Dan] Burn.

“Sat two points above relegation spots because he’s choosing nostalgia based players who have done jobs for him in the last.

“It is absolutely criminal to have a talent like Lewis Hall sat on the bench – and don’t give me this ‘he was injured’ b*llocks, if he wasn’t fit he wouldn’t be near the match day squad.

“Eddie Howe is to blame today. Regardless of his good he has been – today wasn’t acceptable”.

Timlin is a popular reality TV star having won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 and spending seven years on Geordie Shore.

He has over 1.3million X followers and was born in Newcastle but could not let the current issues go without being called out.

Burn and Pope both had tough afternoons at the G Tech Stadium as a lead was given up once more in London.

After West Ham came from behind to win 3-1 last weekend, Pope was unable to connect with a long ball into the box as Kevin Schade equalised for Brentford here before Burn was sent off.

The England defender had gotten away with a controversial penalty decision minutes earlier but did concede a spot kick to hand Brentford the chance to go ahead.

He was dismissed by referee Stuart Attwell and Pope was not fit enough to try and deny Igor Thiago from 12 yards as he was taken off, replaced by Aaron Ramsdale.

Howe’s changes to try and turn the game included bringing on Hall, a left-back, and Anthony Elanga, but it was not enough.

Thiago added his second and Brentford’s third to wrap up the game late on with Joelinton forced off with an injury of his own in the first half to compound the misery.
