From the Team of the Week on Thursday, Rickey McGill prevailed in a fan vote to get the Player of the Week nod in the sixth week of the Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.

The 28-year-old Patrioti Levice guard was announced as the Player of the Week on Friday.

Powering up his team in Bratislava’s Gopass Arena on Tuesday, McGill tallied a game-high 29 points behind 11/23 field goals, including three triples, fueling a narrow win against NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz. Lasting 39:11, he added four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

At 2-2 in Group F of the Regular Season, the reigning champions of Slovakia’s Tipos SBL through the last four years are nearing a berth in a best-of-three Play-In series for a second opportunity to advance to the Round of 16.

The former Iona standout started his first BCL campaign in the Qualification Rounds, helping the Levice outfit become the first Slovakian entry in the Regular Season, and from there has been the key player in a bid for further progress.

A dunk-of-the-year candidate by AEK’s Chris Silva headlined the Top 10 Plays Week 6 Powered by SUNEL. Alberto Diaz, Ronald March Jr., Timmy Allen, Olek Balcerowski, Elijah Stewart, Boris Bojanovsky, Joppe Mennes, Nikos Diplaros, and Gabe Dorsey featured second through tenth.
