Bukayo Saka‘s strike on the half hour gave England the lead, before substitute Eberechi Eze sealed the three points late on.

The Three Lions are yet to concede a goal in World Cup qualifying under Thomas Tuchel.

And, as pointed out by The Times’ Bill Edgar, should they keep a clean sheet in Albania on Sunday, Tuchel’s men will become the first European nation to ever go an entire World Cup qualifying campaign of over six matches without conceding.

The expert football statto then added: “Last Euro team not to concede in 6-game WC qualifying campaign: England ahead of 1990 WC.”

Tuchel, 52, may use the quirky statistic as motivation ahead of Sunday’s trip to Tirana.

The match is otherwise a dead-rubber – with England having already secured top spot and Albania locked in to second.

Remarkably, the Three Lions have scored 20 goals without reply.

In European qualifying, only Euro 2024 champions Spain and Erling Haaland‘s Norway also have 100 per cent records.

TIME for round two of this generation’s family feud!

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn go punch-for-punch once again as both rivals look to make their fathers proud.

The blockbuster rematch takes place at the 62,000-seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, November 15.

Eubank Jr narrowly outpointed his bitter foe after 12 brutal rounds in April to secure the bragging rights in what was certainly a Fight of the Year contender.

And the two British superstars will dance once more as Eubank Jr aims to do the double while Benn seeks revenge after suffering a first career loss.

After the match, Tuchel said of England’s defensive prowess: “I’m a bit superstitious with this stuff.

“I don’t want to talk about it so much because one deflected shot and we don’t get our record.

“The discipline and workrate the team puts in gives us the chance to have seven clean sheets in the row.

“Sometimes you’re a little lucky or need one or two good saves.

“But you need the discipline and workrate to keep it going.”
