WAYNE ROONEY has put the boot into Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk once again.
Former England skipper Rooney went back on the attack following the Premier League champions’ 3-0 defeat at Manchester City on Sunday.
The ex-Manchester United striker told Van Dijk to forget about “outside noise” and concentrate on his own performances.
Rooney savaged Van Dijk last month — even questioning his commitment since signing a new contract in April.
And the pair were involved in an awkward face-to-face clash after the Reds’ 1-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid last week.
Rooney said: “My job now is to give my opinions. I try and be straight and honest on what I feel and what I see.

“Maybe I went a bit too strong when I said on my podcast he’s downed tools since he signed a new contract.

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 – all the info
TIME for round two of this generation’s family feud!
Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn go punch-for-punch once again as both rivals look to make their fathers proud.
The blockbuster rematch takes place at the 62,000-seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, November 15.
Eubank Jr narrowly outpointed his bitter foe after 12 brutal rounds in April to secure the bragging rights in what was certainly a Fight of the Year contender.
And the two British superstars will dance once more as Eubank Jr aims to do the double while Benn seeks revenge after suffering a first career loss.

Rooney, speaking on the Overlap Fan Debate podcast, added: “I said I’m sure as captain he’d be speaking to players, taking the team out for food, which he said he has.
“Clearly if he’s felt he’s had to do that, there’s something not right.
“As champions, you can’t lose four games in a row.
“If you lose one game there’s questions — and if you lose four in a row, something’s not right.
“Getting involved too much in the outside noise, that’s our job.
“Focus on your game because, as a younger player, I’d be looking at Van Dijk and how he reacts, how is that going to help them? You have to get on with your game.”
