CHELSEA defender Trevoh Chalobah has been called up to play for England and replace the injured Marc Guehi.
Chalobah, 26, will join up with the Three Lions and former boss Thomas Tuchel for their final World Cup qualifying fixtures against Serbia and Albania.
Tuchel gave Chalobah his debut at Chelsea when in charge of the Blues in 2021, winning the Champions League, but has used him sparingly since taking the England job.
The 26-year-old was given his England debut by Tuchel too, in the defeat to Senegal earlier this year.
After that, he wasn’t called up in either of the past two international breaks.
Chalobah has featured plenty for Chelsea this season in the absence of Levi Colwill, missing most of the season through injury, and his performances have gained mixed reviews.

But he has clearly done enough to impress Tuchel, who has been at Stamford Bridge on several occasions watching his former club, which hosts plenty of potential England 2026 World Cup stars including Chalobah, Reece James, Liam Delap, and Cole Palmer.
Guehi has been forced to miss the break due to an injury sustained for Crystal Palace in their Conference League clash against AZ Alkmaar.
And Chalobah isn’t the only likely addition to come, with Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope both also expected to be replaced in the coming days, having picked up knocks for Newcastle.
Previously Tuchel claimed Chalobah was unlucky to be left out of his September squad to face Andorra and Serbia.

Chalobah has played ten of Chelsea’s 11 games in the Premier League this season.
He has scored twice for the Blues, but also came under fire after being sent off against Brighton in September. His side went on to lose 3-1.
England will go into the games against Serbia and Albania with the pressure off after already qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
Tuchel’s men have won all six of their group games without conceding a single goal – and scoring 18 in the process.
But they’ll have to get through the next stage without the presence of Guehi – despite him starting four games under Tuchel this year.
Glasner said the injury is not expected to be a long-term one but said the player was in a lot of pain.
The German said: “Overnight he couldn’t sleep, it was so painful and the next day we assessed him and it was a heavy bone bruise,” Glasner told Sky Sports.

“He was walking on crutches the last two days and couldn’t even step on his foot.
“Fortunately nothing is broken, but at the moment he can’t even walk. It looks like he will miss England’s games, but after, maybe in 10-14 days hopefully he can return to training and be available again.”
